In the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, AI-driven solutions have become a crucial component in defending against increasingly sophisticated threats. Autonomous security systems powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) can autonomously detect, analyse, and respond to cyberattacks in real-time, enhancing efficiency and reducing the burden on human operators. This paper explores the role of AI in cyber defence, focusing on its applications in intrusion detection, malware analysis, and vulnerability assessment. Additionally, it discusses the challenges and limitations of implementing AI in cybersecurity systems, as well as future directions for research and development in this domain.
