Abstract

Symmetric encryption, where the same key is used for both encryption and decryption, is a foundational technique in data protection, used in various industries such as banking, healthcare, and government. We will examine well-known algorithms like AES and DES, their applications, strengths, vulnerabilities, and evolving role in the face of new technological challenges.
